Terms and Conditions of Purchase
1.Definitions
In these terms and conditions the following words shall have the meanings set out below:
“Confirmation” means the confirmation email sent to you by Leicester Square Theatre under clause 6.1 acknowledging your booking and setting out the details of the event you are attending.
“Event” means any show, performance or ticketed experience taking place at Leicester Square Theatre.
“Latecomer” means any Patron arriving at the auditorium doors after the start time detailed on the ticket.
“Lead Booker” means the Patron purchasing tickets on behalf of their group. The Lead Booker’s name will appear on all tickets and communications.
“Leicester Square Theatre” means London International Arts Theatre Limited whose registered and principal trading address is Leicester Square Theatre, 6 Leicester Place, London, WC2H 7BX. Registered in England company number 06154026. VAT registration number 937092409.
“Patron” means any ticket holder or guest visiting Leicester Square Theatre.
“Reselling” means the selling on of a previously purchased ticket.
“Staff” means any person employed directly by Leicester Square Theatre.
“Third Party” means a party other than you and the Staff of Leicester Square Theatre.
2. General
2.1. These terms and conditions relate to the purchase and supply of tickets, the use of Leicester Square Theatre’s website and conduct by both Staff & Patrons whilst at the venue.
2.2. Please read these terms and conditions carefully before purchasing any tickets as by doing so, you accept that these terms and conditions will govern your visit and any dealings with Leicester Square Theatre.
2.3. Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to affect your statutory rights.
2.4. Leicester Square Theatre reserves the right to make changes to these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
3. Purchasing Tickets
3.1. Only tickets purchased from Leicester Square Theatre or a permitted agent may be used to gain admission to Leicester Square Theatre.
3.2. Authorised agents include the following companies: Ticketmaster, See Tickets, Today Tix, Ingresso, Eventim, Design My Night, AXS, Gigantic. We Got Tickets, Ticketek & Dice.
3.1. Patrons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
3.2. Tickets are non-transferable. Patrons may be asked to produce ID matching the name of the Lead Booker on the tickets.
3.3. Any Patron receiving a concession may be asked for proof of eligibility when attending the Event.
4. Price & Payment
4.1. The price (including all taxes where relevant) of all tickets are specified on Leicester Square Theatre’s website.
4.2. All tickets include a £2 Venue Restoration Levy.
4.3. All tickets incur a booking fee of 15% unless otherwise stated.
4.4. Leicester Square Theatre does not accept payment by Cash, American Express, SOLT Vouchers or Theatre Tokens.
4.5. For bookings made online over Leicester Square Theatre’s website, Leicester Square Theatre accepts payment by MasterCard, Visa and Leicester Square Theatre gift vouchers.
4.6. For bookings made over the phone or in person Leicester Square Theatre accepts payment by MasterCard, Visa and Leicester Square Theatre gift vouchers.
4.7. School groups may apply via email to Leicester Square Theatre Box Office to pay by BACS or Cheque if unable to pay by the approved methods above.
4.8. If you wish to make a payment using a third party credit/debit card you must provide Leicester Square Theatre Box Office with written authorisation from the card holder.
5. Delivery of Tickets
5.1. All ticket confirmations are sent to the email address provided at the time of booking. The confirmation email contains electronic tickets which are presented to gain access to the venue, either by print out or on your mobile device.
5.2. Paper tickets from the Box Office may be opted for online at the time of purchase, charged at £1 per transaction.
6. Refund & Exchange Policy
6.1. Once purchased, tickets are not able to be refunded or exchanged. If a Patron is unable to attend it is recommended that they contact Leicester Square Theatre Box Office via email who will advise the best course of action.
6.2. The management reserves the right to change or cancel the advertised programme. Should a major change to the advertised Event or Act occur with reasonable notice Leicester Square Theatre will notify Patrons via email.
6.3. Where an Event has been cancelled or rescheduled Leicester Square Theatre may, in its discretion (and provided any relevant Third Party agrees), offer you an exchange, a gift voucher for the full value of the order including fees or a refund of the face value of the tickets only using the same method of payment you used to purchase the tickets.
6.4. Leicester Square Theatre cannot be held responsible for any additional costs incurred by Patrons in relation to event cancellation or reschedule. Travel, accommodation, meals and all ancillary products are purchased solely at the risk of the Patrons and are not deemed connected to the Event ticket or Leicester Square Theatre.
6.5. Leicester Square Theatre may offer to re-sell your tickets for you, if successful, credit will be paid back to you on a Leicester Square Theatre Gift Voucher valid for 18 months.
6.6. The reselling of tickets via external selling sites such as Seatwave, Viagogo, GetMeIn, TicketsNow, StubHub or Ebay is strictly prohibited. Any Patron found to have resold tickets through any company other than Leicester Square Theatre will have their order cancelled without refund. The tickets will be void and any Patrons attempting to use such tickets will be denied entry.
7. Website Use
7.1. Leicester Square Theatre’s website is for your own personal and non-commercial use. You may not modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, licence, create derivative works from, transfer or sell any information obtained from Leicester Square Theatre’s website.
7.2. You are not permitted to alter Leicester Square Theatre’s website in any way.
7.3. Leicester Square Theatre reserves the right to refuse to post onto or remove anything from its website which, in Leicester Square Theatre’s opinion, is objectionable or does not comply with these terms and conditions. Leicester Square Theatre shall not in any way be liable for such actions.
7.4. Leicester Square Theatre may record, preserve, trace and disclose anything which has been transmitted to, from or via Leicester Square Theatre’s website where required by law or where Leicester Square Theatre is acting in good faith.
7.5. If you create, or are provided with, a username, password or any other piece of information as part of the Leicester Square Theatre’s security procedures, you must treat this information as confidential. In particular, you must not disclose this information to any third party.
8. Data Protection
Leicester Square Theatre will collect, use, store and disclose your personal details in accordance with our privacy policy which can be accessed from the Leicester Square Theatre’s website homepage.
9. Safety & Enjoyment
9.1. Leicester Square Theatre reserves the right to refuse admission and may request any Patrons to leave (taking any such appropriate action which may be necessary to enforce this right) before or during Events if it considers it to be necessary or desirable to do so. If a Patron is ejected from Leicester Square Theatre due to poor conduct no refund will be offered.
9.2. Leicester Square Theatre’s professional security team may conduct security searches to ensure the safety of its Patrons, Staff and Acts in the building. Searches may take the form of examination of property including bags & body searches using a handheld metal detector. If you do not permit a search to be undertaken, you will not be admitted into the building or Event.
9.3. Latecomers will be asked to wait until a suitable break in the Event before being admitted to the auditorium. It may be necessary to stand in the bar area until the interval to avoid disrupting the Event. In certain circumstances the Act may request that there may be no late admittance or re-admittance once a show has started. Leicester Square Theatre staff will always honour the wishes of the Act in relation to late or re-admittance.
9.4. Leicester Square Theatre is in no way responsible for the vocabulary, expressions or opinions of Acts featured. Comedy is subjective and often provocative or inflammatory so please make sure you are familiar with the style of performance of the Act you are purchasing tickets for as refunds will not be given for offensive content.
9.5. External food, drinks or glass containers may not be brought into the auditorium.
9.6. Mobile phones and other electronic equipment must be switched off (not silenced) before entering the auditorium.
9.7. Unauthorised photography and filming of Events at Leicester Square Theatre is strictly prohibited. Any Patron found to be filming or taking photographs during an Event may be asked to leave without refund.
9.8. To be admitted to any Event you must be in possession of a valid ticket.
9.9. Each page on Leicester Square Theatre’s website displays the Age Advisory for the corresponding Event, this must be adhered to as it is reflective of the content and language which may be inappropriate for younger Patrons.
9.10. Family Events allow “babes in arms” to attend without a ticket under the understanding that they are no older than 18 months old and do not require their own seat.
9.11. Please note that strobe lighting and smoke effects are occasionally used in Events.
9.12. Leicester Square Theatre and any authorised third parties may carry out general filming and sound recording in or about the venue as well as filming and sound recording of Events. By purchasing tickets you consent to you and your party being included in and to the commercial exploitation of such films and recordings without payment and waive all moral rights in such films and recordings.
9.13. Leicester Square Theatre accepts no responsibility for possessions lost or stolen on the premises.
